Proposals for internships

Museums and cultural institutions in New Mexico can propose student internship projects by downloading and submitting the proposal form. Proposals are reviewed by the program staff when they are received, and every effort is made to match the skills and interests of students to appropriate projects. Students are assigned a faculty advisor. The program provides a modest stipend for standard internships, which equate to between 90-100 hours, but proposals for larger projects and fully-funded projects are welcome. The host institution is responsible for day-to-day project supervision and evaluation, as well as the cost of materials, supplies, and equipment required for the project.

“We have been absolutely delighted with Kyla's skills, her bright personality and her wonderful work ethic. She has definitely hit the ground running and has been effective and useful from day one. We are very pleased and feel we have been lucky to find her. We are so impressed with Miriam's program and would recommend to any employer that they look to her students for new hires.”— Karen Carr, Karen Carr Studio, Silver City, New Mexico
